Science Fair Topic

1. Strength of Wireless Connections

Variables

  1. The distance from a wireless device and a router
  2. The amount of wireless devices being used at one time
  3. Objects that may interfere with the connection

Paper Detail

My paper will detail different things that may interfere with wireless connection. Things that may interfere with the connection may be the distance, amount of wireless devices being used, and objects that may be interfering. I will be proving that these things I just listed have an effect on wireless connection by using a device to measure the strength of the connection.

Experiment

I will conduct my experiment by testing numerous wireless devices in one room and see if it effects the connections speed and clarity. I will also take wireless devices and have them at different distances from the router and see its affect. I will test different objects that have a different mass such as a woden box, a pillow, plastic bin, and metal box to see of that effects the connection.

Hypothesis

The hypothesis of my experiment is that more than one wireless devices working at once will slow down the speed and it will have a low strength. I think that the distance from a wireless device and a router won't go in to effect until you are totally you of range. When I am testing the different objects that will interfere with the connection i think that a metal box and wooden box will have a great effect but the pillow and a plastic box won't have such a great effect.
